What is the 5.7 metre pontoon boat designed for?
The 5.7 metre pontoon boat is one of the most versatile boats in the Marine Dock Systems range. It can be used as a fishing pontoon, family day boat, BBQ boat, work platform, transport vessel, survey boat, floating work barge or custom commercial pontoon boat.
How many people can the 5.7 metre pontoon boat carry?
The standard configuration is suitable for approximately 1 to 6 people. Additional flotation modules can be added to increase payload capacity and accommodate larger passenger loads.
What are the pontoons made from?
The flotation modules are rotationally moulded from UV-stabilised polyethylene. These one-piece floats are impact resistant, corrosion resistant and designed for long service life in Australian marine environments.
Can I purchase just the floats and build my own boat?
Yes. Marine Dock Systems supplies individual floats, nose cones, fasteners and frame components for customers wishing to build their own pontoon boat or floating structure.
What is the load capacity of the 5.7 metre pontoon boat?
Load capacities vary depending on configuration. Twin hull models can carry up to approximately 1,200kg while tri-hull configurations can carry up to approximately 1,800kg before optional accessories are fitted.
Can the pontoon boat be customised?
Yes. The 5.7 metre pontoon boat can be fitted with roofs, handrails, gates, furniture, steering consoles, ladders, rod holders, cleats, lighting systems and custom layouts to suit individual requirements.
What optional accessories are available?
Optional extras include marine carpet, hard-top roofs, aluminium handrails, welded gates, rear steps, steering consoles, pontoon furniture, fishing accessories, mooring cleats and additional centre flotation rows.
Can I use the boat for fishing?
Yes. The wide and stable design makes the 5.7 metre pontoon boat ideal for recreational fishing, estuary fishing, family outings and commercial fishing support operations.
Can the pontoon boat be used as a work barge?
Yes. Many customers use the 5.7 metre pontoon boat as a floating work platform, maintenance vessel, survey boat, transport barge or industrial service platform.
Are the pontoon boats Australian made?
Yes. Marine Dock Systems pontoon boats and Dynaplas flotation modules are proudly Australian made and manufactured using proven marine construction methods developed over decades of experience.
What materials are used in the frame construction?
Frames are manufactured from marine-grade aluminium and assembled using high-quality stainless steel fasteners for maximum corrosion resistance and durability.
Can I add a centre row of floats?
Yes. A centre row of floats can be added to increase stability and payload capacity by approximately 600kg, making the vessel suitable for heavier commercial or recreational applications.
Are the polyethylene floats foam filled?
No. The floats are sealed rotationally moulded units that provide excellent buoyancy without requiring foam filling. Their one-piece construction eliminates corrosion concerns commonly associated with metal pontoons.
Can the boat be fitted with a roof?
Yes. Hard-top roof systems are available and can provide shade and weather protection for recreational, tourism and commercial applications.
Why choose a Marine Dock Systems pontoon boat?
Marine Dock Systems pontoon boats combine Australian-made polyethylene flotation technology, marine-grade aluminium construction, excellent stability, low maintenance requirements and extensive customisation options to provide reliable long-term performance on the water.
