KDS Earthmoving originated in South East Queensland over Thirty Five years ago. Specializing in all manner of Earthworks and Detailed Excavation. After a request from A.V Jennings NSW division in 1985 to assist in an overwhelming housing boom, we have steadily grown to a loyal client base of over fifty construction companies within the Sydney region and employ 15 Full Time Staff. KDS Earthmoving recently purchased thirty acres at Windsor, where we are planning to expand our Riverstone operation, along with environmentally sound waste transfer & recycling. Key Personal David Gibbs (Director) & Licensee Is second generation and has over twenty years of experience in the industry. He has built up a wealth of knowledge in bulk and detailed excavation, demolition and construction. David's role in KDS Earthmoving is: Scott Simmons (General Manager) Has over twenty years of building and construction management experience. He joined KDS Earthmoving in August 2003 to consolidate operations and drive expansion of the company. Capabilities Demolition: Domestic, Industrial & Commercial KDS Earthmoving carries out all demolition to AS2601 and OHS Regulations 2001 to comply with Work Cover requirements. Excavation: Bulk, Detail, Environmental, Hazardous and Civil. Concreting: Piers, Footings, Slabs and Civil. Material Supplied: i.e. Sand, Soil, Road Base, Wood Chip etc. Construction: Retaining walls, Homes, any structure up to $2 million. Waste Management Our aim with demolition materials is to limit the amount of materials that go to Land Fill, most materials are transported to our recycling facility where bricks and concrete are crushed and screened for use as road base and sand mixes. Timber is sorted and graded for re-use, the remainder is ground to fines for composting and adding to soil mixes. The metals are sorted and recycled, the balance is sent to a recognized EPA Land Fill site. Service & Repairs Fully equipped workshop, fueling and wash bays meeting all standards. Also including full-time mechanics for on site and workshop service and repairs. Machinery & Trucks All our equipment is of high standard and is renewed every 3-4 years. Most machinery is laser equipment, consisting of excavators, crawler loaders, loaders, rollers, grader tractors, bobcats, chippers, track-excavators, forklifts, crushers, screens, tumblers and Mack Trucks. Workers will not carry out construction work until they have received the minimum requirements for OHS. " Industry (general) induction. " Work Activity OHS induction. " Site Specific OHS induction. Safety Policy People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. The public shall be given equal priority to that of our employees. The objectives of our Safety Policy are: " To achieve an accident free workplace. " To make health and safety an integral part of every managerial and supervisory position. " To ensure health and safety is considered in all planning and work activities. " To involve our employees in the decision making processes through regular communication, consultation and training. " To provide a continuous program of education and learning to ensure that our employees work in the safest possible manner. " To identify and control all potential hazards in the workplace through hazard identification and risk analysis. " To ensure all potential accident/incidents are controlled and prevented. " To provide effective injury management and rehabilitation for all employees. Safe Work Method Statements Will be provided for each project and will be Site Specific, set out task-by-task with relative hazards identified and control measures documented and implemented.
